I am a bad blogger... I was never able to keep a journal either lol ah well will get in here whenever I can

Been so busy with work have just finished 7 days and had today off which was nice

We have been so busy with birthdays and confirmations and work I haven't had much time for scrapping which is a bummer

Although I have finally finished a mini car book (maya road) for scrapbook n bits which I will be sending to Karen tomorrow you should see it on the site soon hopefully

I joined a cj with scrap with v and sent that on Friday so hopefully will recieve the next one to do soon

I went to Fionas yesterday and got the car book finished and started another page which I finished off tonight will scan it and put it up later well probably tomorrow lol

I am sitting here typing and listening to Gork snoring I am so not looking forward to going to bed as I no I won't be able to sleep listening to that!!!

Selena and the kids came and visited me at work on Friday which was nice I gave Amy a choccie biscuit which kept her still for a few minutes lol and Matthew was so excited he had a new train I don't think there will be anymore room for him in his room with all the trains he has lol

Wednesday night we have a work function on so that should be interesting I will get to meet alot of the girls I talk to on the phone which will be nice and catch up with Laila too

Well thats it from me for now I will try and update a bit more regulary (I said try) lol

Challenges

I love challenges cause it makes me scrap here are 2 I have just finished over at Scrap with V

This is a Becky Fleck Sketch (I love her sketches) I especially love this as it has paisley lol

The colours didn't scan so good don't no why?!?!

This is a "getting to know you" challenge where we had to write 10 to 20 things about ourselves and use 5 or more of our favourite products.

Mine is written on the tags that are sticking out the side they say-

I love everything to do with Christmas... I HATE spiders they make me shiver... I am very critical of everything I do... I would love to wear the latest fashion but feel I am to old and overweight... I love cooking... I was born with brown eyes... I have a serious addiction to scrapbook shopping... I am very sensitive... I totally enjoy going away but love coming home more... My favourite colours are red and yellow and any colours they make... When I was young I wanted 10 kids (what was I thinking lol)... I love reading... I am amazed I used such a large photo of myself, this is so confronting. I have picked at all the flaws and have not seen anything good (p.s. Gork loves the photo!)

School Holidays

I can't believe we are in the second week of the holidays already only a couple more sleep ins before we get back into the routine again

Natalii went to the movies today with her gf's was a bit worried as they were unaccompanied just the 6 girls and that was it !!!!! She rang as soon as she got home so I knew she was safe.

Jack went to Aunty Darija's which he loves doing and had lots of fun there "but Ivana didn't get out of bed for a looonnggg time Mum" was what he told me when I asked if he had fun lol

He is off to mum's in the morning and then the 2 of them will go on Wednesday and stay over so I don't have to get them up too early on Thursday, she is going shopping with them again so they will have fun wish I was going lol

Gork is still not sure about my hair lol I like it so that's all that matters hey lol

Might try and scrap in the morning depends on whether I sleep in or not (or should I say whether Jack lets me sleep in)

I have a couple of challanges to get done so best get moving

We are going out for dinner with Rohan and Mel and the kids to the Roxburgh Park Hotel so I don't have to cook

Jack is playing a game on the puter and it is making a squeak so its like its talking to the bird each time the computer makes a noise the bird talks back hahahha

Am hoping to get some scrapping done this week and try to get to the gym

I am back after a very long break lol well really should say have been slack lol

Lots has been happening good and bad - all fixable

My shop has been closed for about 2 months now and life has just gone on like it never existed well that is except for the friends I have made and all the stuff that is pile up in the garage lol

Have been going to the gym and really enjoying it started back with the slim coach today and hopefully will lose some more weight (17kg already)

Started a new job with Smokemart/Giftbox at Northlands working 6 days there the manager is lovely and we get along great it gets a bit boring though when she goes home no one to talk too lol

I did 6 weeks training in the city which was a weird thing I haven't worked in the city for over 14 years so cathcing the train was bit strange the first time. Was great got to read lots travelling in and out hated the delays and cancellations though. The girls in the city are a laugh and half and I really miss them.

Have been scrapping up a storm catching up on what I didn't do when I had the shop. Tried out for a design team at scrapbook n Bits but didn't get in but then Karen asked me to come in and do quick and easy pages for the customers to do so I was very excited then I got an email from one of the girls that did the class that I had to do for the dt try out and asked if I was interested in joining the dt she was on (she said she loves my work) so of course I said yes and was walking around with a fat head for a few days lol

I havent officially started either one yet although I have done the layout for Scrap With V - as soon as I got the pizza box I did the layout lol finished it that night and posted her the instructions and a pic of it which she liked (thank god) lol

Well thats it for me for now am going to bed kids are at mums for the night so its very quiet around here well except for Gork snoring on the couch lol

This is the album I made for my firend Melinda who's baby was born 15 weeks prem I had been looking around for something nice to give but she alrady has Ella so any clothes or dolls etc where not needed as she would have plenty
So when one of my custmoners came in and told me how she makes timber albums for people I thought that's it that's what I will give them

So I asked Muriel to make me one but she said she woudl only do the timber part of it and I had to decorate lol so this is what I finally came up with after several attempts at different paper (it kept going wrong) It hapens to be one of Melindas favourite papers which was lucky. She was wrpat and loved so that was good. One of the other girls loved it so much she wanted a canvas of it so I did it for her lol

This layout I did on Saturday and I am really pleased with the way it turned out I have seen lots of doodling on pages in magazines and online and thought nah that's not for me but then I tried it and WOW now I'm hooked

The pp is a Kelly Pannacci paper that has these flowers all over it but I liked the look of them on the black bazzill so I cut them all out

The journalling reads I can't beleive you are almostv 13!! Where did my little girl go :(

I took Ivana and Natalii to DFO yesterday OH MY Goodness we walked around 3 times and our legs were very tired by the end lol the girls saw heaps of clothes and shoes they loved I was a bit dissappointed that there were no larger sized clothing shops there but never mind I got a groovy hand bag and purse instead looks a bit like the paper actually lol

Ivana got her swishy pants lol and some tops and a pair of runners and Natalii got a couple of singlets and a pair of runners We had so much fun with lots of laughs ( nearly wet me pants several times) lol

Got some new papers in and couldn't help myself had to use them

Here's what I did I have a customer that makes different timber products so we decided to make some paper holders
It hold heaps of paper

I also have some gorgeous little 8 x 8 papers that I had to use I just love the way that this turned out

Long time...

Well it's been almost 2 months exact since I last blogged (sound like I am church in confession) and alot has happened

The website is finally up and going after a few months too many, lots of things kept happening no ones fault but I was glad they all happened before we went live iykwim
Mum had another hernia repaired and we were all sick so we couldn't go visit her :(( but talked on the phone lots she is doing better but still has a bit of pain. The surgeon has put mesh across her stomach so hopefully this won't happen again
Natalii went to camp over easter with Scouts (she had a blast and they got Silver)
Gork's mum went to Adelaide so we had easter at our place with Silv, Darija, Murray and Ivana was a nice night ate lots lol She also turned 70while away so we will have to organise to go out for dinner or something for her
Jack has lost his first tooth must remember to take a photo he was so excited but scared cause there was blood hahahaha
Jack got the Principals Award at school which is a big thing well he didnt go and collect it at assembly cause he thought it might have been another Jack Franin gotta love him dont ya rofl
Well LOST IN TIME has now been opened 1 Year I cant beleive it where has the time gone we are having 20% off everything for the whole week
Jack had his Student conference (parent teacher interview) he had to do the interview which he did very confidently the teacher says he is very good in class and understands her sarcasim she says he has personallity lol
Natalii has an appointment to have an xray on her mouth so next time we go to the orthodontist we will find out how long it is before her braces come off soon hopefully
I have been asked to make an album for someone - it has 100 PAGES (they supplied the album) lucky they don't want it too busy they want it with just a little detail and will be journalling when they get it back so far I have done about 30 pages it's taking for ever lol but it's fun cause I love doing other peoples photos

This is a little bit of something I have made for someone cant show the whole thing incase they happen to see so once they have it I will share I am sooo happy with how it turned out so I am hanging to give it to them

Look I managed to get another layout done I have so much mojo at the moment lol

I used some masking stuff took me a while to work it out hahahaha but now I now well I will be using it on everything

This pic was taken of Jack on his second day at school and then a few weeks later they did the whold class photo and the normal head shots

Friday night was a bit quiet at the crop so I decided too scrap as well I got 1 12 x 12 lo finished did 2 8 x8's for one of the girls and started another 12 x 12. So on Saturday I had to finish that one off and then had time to start another on - which is still not finished will get onto that today I think.

Had a busy weekend went to Frank and Kathy's for dinner - very yummy It was good to catch up with them and Koj and Lynn haven't really seen any of them since christmas. As per usual the guys sat outside so the they could smoke and us girls sat inside - ever since I met Gork that's the way it's been at least now the kids are al big enough to do their own thing, they went in and out all night running around they all had a ball and consindering all the different ages (from 12 down to 5) there was no fights everyone got along.

Sunday we went over to the school for the car boot sale and had a look around - talked more to the stall holders more than actually looked lol. Then went home and did some ironing so I had some clothes to wear lol. Then got ready to go out for dinner - it was Murray's 50th birthday. We went to the Roxburgh Park Hotel and had a lovely night. We got to meet the exchange student that has been staying at Darija and Murray's place - Choko (sp?) she was very quiet and didn't speak much english Ivana and Ana made her try a meat pie and a sausage roll - she didn't like the meat pie very much and Rick (one of Murrays friends) told her it was kangaroo rofl dont know if she understood what he was saying though.

Tomorrow night Nadia and I are going to visit Melinda's baby girl Jemma Rose who was born 15 weeks early- she was born 31cm and 672g so you can imagine how little she is. Mel's hubby put his wedding ring on her wrist and you could still put your finger in as well it was that big on her. She is a little fighter but if you can say a prayer for her.

Well thats it for me for now hopefully it won't be so long between bloggs next time

Long time between Bloggs......

Seems that sometimes life just gets in the way with hospital visits (Natalii has another 4 weeks in plaster) and prep assessments there isn't much time for anything else

Jack asked me when he can go to school on his own the other morning :( only 2 weeks in and I'm not needed. He loves school and his teacher but is very tired by the end of the week.

Natalii is enjoying school too. they had the Swimming carnival the other day and they had a ball maybe next year she will be able to swim.

Lion King was fantastic and well worth a visit . The costumes are amazing and very cleverly done. It was good cause it was not only aimed at the kids but a few things were said that went over thier heads lol and the voices are unbeleivable, so awsome (can you tell I liked it) lol

Work has been a bit hectic this week with classes and a crop all in a row so Sunday will be rest day before we get ready for the all day crop on Saturday

Gork and I have hardly seen each other this week so am thinking a nice qiuet night with a dvd with the kids and then an early night he's going fishing with a couple of his mates and will leave home at 3am so he really needs an early one. Then I think we will probably go to the club for dinner cheap meals but very yummy.

There were lots of other things I wanted to say but I am so tired I can't remember what they were rofl.

Start of a new School Year....

Well what a week we have had with Natalii's arm and now getting both of them ready for school.

Natalii started on Tuesday and I had to take her to the bus which is a big thing for the last 7 years she only had to cross the road.

She was very nervous but excited as well - me well I was just nervous. It is such a big step from being the head of the school to being at the bottom level, most of her friends went to different schools so she doesn't have any close friends to start with. She looks so lostwaiting fo rthe bus, give it a couple more weeks and she will be telling me to just drop her off and go lol.

She had a great first day, she got lost only 3 times (she has come from a school of 600 students and is now at a school of 1200 1300 girls) and is slowly learning where everything is, she hasn't had all her teachers yet so she still doesn't know who is who.

I cant believe how much older she looks and even the attitude has changed she seems more confidant in herself.
The bus bit worries me I know she is ok but she has to get off and get on another bus half way to school, I just worry that she will miss one of them, I have told her to be a sheep and follow the pack lol - so far so good.
Her school bag is so heavy and much harder to carry with only one arm but she says it's ok.

Now Jack started on Wednesday - he sprung out of bed yelling it's a school day today yay. I didn't have to hurry him to get dressed or anything.
He was so excited.
Gork was home to walk him over and then Lisa and Shann came and took photos and then Grandma came and took more photos all he was concerned about was getting there.

We all walked him over and had to wait for the bell once that went he was off like a flash we put his books away and found where his bag went, he then ignored us and started to play on the floor with the toys and things that were put out for them. We didn't get a goodbye or anything it was like we weren't even there - I think Gork was a bit upset that he wouldn't miss us hahaha. His teacher is one that doesn't like you to hang around too long she likes to get into it straight away so we said goodbye to Jack and got "oh yeah cya" no hug or kiss nothing - I suppose this is really a good thing but as he is my baby I was a bit sad but happy too that I didn't have to console him etc.

When I got there to pick him up he was full of stories of the things he did and who he had play lunch with, he showed me how and where he has to line up for the canteen and how they had a tour of the school, once they got back to class they had to draw pictures of what they saw.

Then I got the question"So what tomorrow?" (he asks this everyday hoping for a lazy day - as in he doesn't have to come to the shop with me) I told him he had to come to the shop cause the other half of his class needs to go to school - he wasn't too happy and then when he got here he decided he was going home with Grandma cause he didn't have to stay at the shop then and as long as he didn't miss school it was ok.

As of Monday he has to go to after school care so we met Lisa who takes care of all that and he was happy enough about going with her on Monday. He has photo day on Friday, and has the Life Ed van coming soon.

So it's as if there were no holidays with everything back to a routine early to bed and now we have to get up earlier to take Natalii to the bus.

What a weekend!!!!!!!

Well we had a very busy and adventurous weekend - I had a birthday party at the shop with 10 6 year olds and lucky for me the other 7 couldn't come lol that went pretty good a couple of the parents stayed to help and found they were having so much fun they are going to book there own night lol

While doing this party my Dh had to go to my mil's house to pick up Natalii's school dresses they were in and out in 10 minutes - you would think not much could happen in such a short time??? Well Natalii did the right thing and walked where the rain wouldn't get her and Jack had to walk in the the rain and get wet so you would think it was Jack that had the broken arm wouldn't you but no Natalii slipped and fell landing on her arm and her bum!!!!

- Gork rang to say he was taking her to the hospital this was about 1.15pm - he didn't think it was broken cause he felt it and of course he knows best lol any way they sat there for a couple of hours and by the time I left work to come there they were waiting on X-ray results.

The X-ray showed a break which needed manipulation so they put a half cast on her and sent us home this was about 6pm. We had to come back the next day and she would be admitted and given a general anesthetic so they could do what they had to.

We took Jack down to my mum's cause we had to get up at 6am to have breakfast, she had to fast from 7am on. We then had to be at the hospital by 12 noon for them to do it at 1.30pm. we got there and where shown a bed in the children's ward (she was in a room with 3 boys) then we waited until the Dr came to explain that she could have to have a wire put in but they would wait and see.

So 1.30pm came and went, By 2.30pm they came and got her and we went up to the area where you wait to go in to surgery well I think it was after 3.30pm by the time they actually took her in, and by 4.15pm the Dr came out to say they didn't put the wire in and that everything went well. She had a lot of swelling and seeing as it was so late in the day (she would have to wait 4 hours before she could go home) they were going to keep her overnight. So on the phone I get to organise everything - Jack to stay at grandma's again and if she can open the shop cause I had to stay with Natalii.

All that was organised and because we came in one car I had to go home with Gork so I had a car to get home the next day cause he had to go to work.

The next day we had to wait for more X-rays and once they were done we could go home but the poor nurse was run off her feet and forgot to get a sling for Natalii so we were still there when she got back from her lunch break - she felt so bad lol so it was around 2.30pm by the time we left.

Any way we got home with no more excitement Natalii got on the computer and chatted to a couple of friends and I vegged on the couch to tired to do anything hahahahaha.

I have been bitten by the brushes bug all my photos will be brushed and saved hahahaha I can't help myself they look so cool with the little swirls and flowers on them I couldn't beleive how easy it was to do once I down loaded some

Now I just have to find out how to add a pic to my banner and I'll be happy this blogging thing is so cool

Shopping......

What girl doesn't love shopping?

This time though it wasn't fun spending over $500 on shopping but it was needed - Natalii's SUMMER and sports uniform and we still need to get her winter uniform but that will wait till closer to 2nd term
Her dress needs taking up cause you can't see any leg between the long white socks and the bottom of the dress lol and this year they have decided to bring in blazers so all year 7's needs one

She did a fashion parade for Gork and showed him all her uniform :( She looks good but it's sad I still can't beleive she is starting High school - when did she get old enough to go lol

She is going to Pascoe Vale Girls College and I have only ever heard good things from parents and girls that go there and from ones that have now left

Natalii will be catching the bus so lots of big steps for her on the 31st January but I know she will be fine she has lots of friends that go there already and I know they will look after her.

Jack will be starting Primary school and I know he can't wait he is marking the days off his calendar every day and is getting very excited that the crosses are near the end lol

He tells everyone his tachers name -Mrs Carmichael and that he is with Mitchell M and Cooper
We got contact for his books and covered them and his uniform is easy some grey shorts, blue polos and burgundy wincheaters best get him some track pants or cargo pants incase it gets cold and he needs smaller polo tops I got him 6's and they come down to hs knees lol looks quite funny to see him with his shorts polo and wincheater the polo hangs out the bottom and just about covers his shorts hahahaha

Tampolines.....

I had my first jump on our new one last night - Man that was fun lol How long it's been since you went on a tramp for me it has to be over 20 years ( OMG showing my age now) I got on and just bounced on my bum for a bit then Jack got on and while I was bouncing he was jumping I had tears rolling down my face he got higher and higher hahahahaha we couldn't stop laughing. So now every night if it's not raining I am gonna go on the trap with him and have a bounce - does this count for exercise???? Oh well it's fun anyway.

The kids are going to the museum with Mum and Mark tomorrow so it will be quiet at the shop with no kids nagging they're bored. Hopefully they will have a good day.

Canvases

I am addicted to canvas
The 2 hot pnk ones I have done for Natalii's room she decided that she wanted Hot Pink in there now so we are adding some bits to her yellow and purple instead of painting again

The one with the photos is of her and her friends on the last day of school - none of them are going to the same school as her

Mel was telling us about a shop she went to for the kids bedrooms and things and how they had these canvases that had the kids names on it. The paste was swirled over the canvas and left white with the name all colourful pushed into it

So now some of the canvases I have done this way with the texture past alot of fun but a bit smelly

Canvases make the nicest present don't you think?

I made 2 for my sil for xmas - she is Jacks godmother. One had her dd and jack on it and then I thought that I better do one of Natalii as well

This on of natalii is a little bit bigger than a 6x4 photo it's so cute

The photo is of Natalii on her grade 6 graduation night just before she left

Shoes......

I love shoes I think I have about 20 pairs at the moment the last pair I bought my family have told me they don't want to be seen with me while I am wearing them so looks like I will have some me time lol

I love pink and chocolate together and these are so cumfy

I still have my wedding shoes I just can't part with them they are a pearl white and very pointy toed not very comfortable but who ever is on thier wedding day........

Dad's day out

We took the kids to see The Chronicles of Narnia – The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe on Thursday night at the drive-ins.

Cause it’s day light savings the movie didn’t start till 9.30pm so it was midnight by the time we got home

The movie was great – the effects were fantastic

I think it was a bit too long for Jack as he wriggled in his seat, spilt lemonade over my console in the car and then Natalii put her chips right next to him and he knocked them and they fell out and all over the floor oh well another job for dad lol

On Friday Gork took the kids to the movies and they saw Cheaper by the dozen 2 and loved it then he took them shopping – Natalii needed some shorts and Jack needed some sandals he also bought himself some new t shirts

He then went home and got their bathers and went to the pool for a couple of hours the kids had a ball

It was Joshua’s birthday so we went and saw him that night – he liked his present (Gork picked it out)

Last day of school

I know I'm not in order here of the days on which these things happen but I feel I have to get these things down so I don't forget

The last day of school for Natalii was a big one - she is leaving all her friends and going to a different school hopefully they will still keep in contact with her once they all get to thier own schools - most of them are going to Niddrie or Craigieburn

I made sure I got to the last assembly

There were quit a few grade 6 mums there all armed with tissues lol
They did all the usual stuff - awards and farwells to teachers then the grade 5 kids sang a song to them - The Time of your life (Green Day) which started all the girls crying which then stared some of the mum's lol
Then Daniel Borelli sang the key parts of We Are the Champions (Queen) and the kids sang the chorus by then most of the girls couldn't sing through all the tears

Alot of the mum's were crying as well.

After the assembly they all went back to their classrooms for the last time and Marissa (Natalii's teacher) said a farewell to them and wished all the grade 6's good luck for the year ahead of them at High School

I made sure I took heaps of pic's of Natalii with all her friends so she can scrap them over the holidays

Graduation....

Natalii got her Graduation DVD in the mail the other day I still haven't watched the whole thing

I still can't beleive that she has finished primary school

She had herhair done at Fiona's which was good cause Jack had the other kids to play with.

Rohan picked her up in his ferrari and she was the last to get there - everyone was still out the front waiting to go in so they all saw her arrive - she was very embarassed lol Gork was thrilled that she arrived last.

Darija, Ivana, Baba, Grandma and frank came with us to watch the ceremony I hadn't told them that she was getting a scholarship so they were so excited when Mr Hughes called out her name
I was so proud of her and had to hold back the tears

First day of the school Holidays...........

OK well it's the first day of the holidays and the kids have been pretty good seeing as they are at the shop with me. Every now and then they arrgue about what they are going to do but that's kids and with the age difference it's bound to happen.

The year has gone so fast - Natalii ans finished primary school for ever!!!!!!!!! and Jack no longer goes to kinder cause he's a big school boy now (well after xmas) he is so excited about going to school he can't wait where as Natalii is a bit aprehensive as she's not sure what to expect at High school and having to catch the bus to and from is a bit daunting I think. I don't know how I am going to be the first day I have to drop her at the bus :(( and then the next day I have to take Jack to school so it's going to be a sad couple of days.

Anyway I think I have finished my xmas shopping - well the main bits just need to get some things for Natalii that she doesn't know about besides the things santa bring of course.

We are doing the groceries tonight after dinner hopefully it won't be to busy (yeah right). Xmas eve is at our place as usual but we also have to make sure we have enough for xmas day as well as we are having Dad and Donna, Mum and Mark and Gork's family coming through out the day. The kids will be happy - no travelling to anywhere - the first time in 12 years for Natalii.

I did a canvas yester day which I am really pleased with - Gork's not sure about it - the lines aren't straight lol
